Abstract: Geoestatisitics combined with GIS was applied to analyze the spatial variability of soil nutrients in topsoil in the 7th Agricultural Shi as example in Xinjiang. The research which was based on Kriging method was handled by ArcGIS. GIS can integrate attribute data with geographical data of system variables, which makes the application of geoestatisitics technique for large spatial scale more convenient. Soil nutrient data in this study showed that the spatial correlation of total nitrogen, organic matter, available potassium and available phosphorus at this large scale were moderately dependent. Choosing proper Kriging model, verifying of the Cross-Validation and correcting the parameters are important factors influencing accurate analysis.
