Abstract: In order to evaluate the side effect of GENESIS, the effect of chemical hybridization agent (CHA) GENESIS on the agronomic traits, the chlorophyll content of the second leaf counted from the top and the pistil fertility in wheat were studied. The results indicated that: The growth and development of wheat were suppressed and the heading and flowering date were delayed by 1~2 days when treated with GENESIS. Plant height was shortened in some degree, which was mainly due to the reduction of the first internode length counted from the top, but there was no significant difference among 3 spraying dosages. The chlorophyll content of the second leaf counted from the top decreased as the dosages increased. The decolored leaves were recovered in some degree, however, the degree of foliar injury was becoming serious and the less possibility to recovery as the dosage being increased and the spraying period being delayed. GENESIS has little effect to the pistil fertility.
