Abstract: To find out the related factors and significant factors that affect farmers adopt new rice varieties, In this paper, on the basis of field survey, the contingency table analysis was conducted to figure out the influencing factors of high relevance in adopting new rice varieties for peasants, and an empirical analysis was used in adopting new rice varieties for peasants with Logistic Regression Model. The results showed that the area for rice plants, agricultural technology training, agricultural technical guidance and the price of seeds differences between old and new varieties significantly affected the peasants in adopting new rice varieties. Among them, the area for rice plants was the largest one, agricultural technology training had a positive effect on the peasants adopting new rice varieties; Seed price differential had inhibition for farmers adopting new rice varieties; Technical guidance would help farmers adopt the new rice varieties.
