Abstract: To search the correlation between the pH value of cultivated soil, the different forms of Cd content in cultivated soil and the Cd content in Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort., a field cultivation was conducted to determinate the different forms of Cd content in cultivated soil and the Cd content in corresponding Rhizoma Chuanxiong by absorption method, and measure the pH value of cultivated soil. The correlation result between the pH value of cultivated soil and the Cd content in Rhizoma Chuanxiong was r=-0.693**, P=0.001 (P<0.01); the correlation result between the content percentage of ion-state Cd in cultivated soil and the Cd content in Rhizoma Chuanxiong was r=0.860**, P=0.000 (P<0.01). The correlation result between the pH value and content percentage of ion-state Cd in cultivated soil was r=-0.746**, P=0.003 (P<0.01). The Cd content in Rhizoma Chuanxiong was significantly negatively correlated to the pH values of cultivated soil, and significantly positively correlated to the content percentages of ion-state Cd in cultivated soil; the pH values and content percentages of ion-state Cd in cultivated soil was significantly negatively correlated.
