Effects of Different Plant Growth Regulator on Cutting Rooting, Growth and Leaf Photosynthetic of Acer rubrum ‘Red Sunset’

Abstract: In order to solve that the cutting seedling was difficulty and was short of the seedlings of American red maple at current domestic, Acer rubrum‘Red Sunset’was used to study the effects of different plant growth regulator treatments on its cutting rooting, sprout, growing and leaf photosynthesis. The results showed that, at the same concentration (500 mg/L), different types of plant growth regulator under processing (ABT1#, IBA, NAA, IAA+NAA), the rooting, sprout, growing and leaf photosynthesis of Acer rubrum‘Red Sunset’were better than CK. For example, the rooting rate was higher 53.5% , 50.1% , 41.3% and 51.1% than CK respectively, the survival rate was higher 53.5%, 49.8%, 41.3% and 51.2% than CK respectively, the branch length was higher 37.9%, 23.4%, 16.8% and 31.1% than CK respectively, Pn was higher 43.32%, 26.87%, 24.38% and 42.14% than CK respectively. The ABT1# 500 mg/L and IAA+NAA 500 mg/L were the best plant growth regulator for Acer rubrum‘Red Sunset’in all the treatments.
