Abstract: Taking Nong’an County of Jilin Province as the study area, based on GIS, on the basis of the second survey data of land use status, we investigated the data of the production and input of arable land, renewed the attributes such as the barrier layer depth from the surface, profile shapes, surface soil texture, soil organic matter content, soil pH and degree of salinization, updated the farmland grade and production capacity of the year 2010—2012, researched the change of nature, utilization, economic and production capacity of the year 2010—2012, the correlation between each grade change and soil, analyzed the reason of each grade change of nearly three years, in order to supply scientific basis for reasonably improving land quality of Nong’an County. Results shown that, there was a little change in nature of the year 2010-2012, the most important reason was the impacting factor of natural quality changed a little; utilization reduced yearly and nature had a big change because changes of crop yields affected land use coefficient and economic coefficient, whereas production was mainly affected by natural disasters. Correlation analysis shown that, farmland grade had a positive relationship with organic matter and pH.
