Abstract: The distribution and formation of soil water-stable aggregates under different vegetation types in Karst Mountains has been studied after two treatments with C-D reagent, drenching and vibrating in water for 30 minutes. Vegetation types and land-use time durations have a great influence on the formation of soil aggregates, they could influence not only the quality and quantity of aggregate composition in surface-layer soil, but also the characteristics of soil aggregates under the surface layer. Free Fe and Al oxides have a obvious influence on the water stability of soil aggregates, but the decreases of water-stable aggregate contents treating with drenching and vibrating are bigger than that treating with C-D reagent.
