Abstract: In order to provide theoretical basis for water-saving production and high yield of barely, three cultivation management modes including over film-mulched soil cultivation, controlled traffic tillage with ridge irrigation and conventional drilling were conducted to investigate their dynamics change of soil temperature, yield of barely under field conditions. The results showed that from emergence to jointing stage, soil temperature was over film- mulched soil cultivation > controlled traffic tillage with ridge irrigation > conventional drilling, and soil temperature of over film-mulched soil cultivation was significantly higher than that of conventional drilling. After jointing stage, soil temperature of controlled traffic tillage with ridge irrigation was the highest in the different layers, and this mode could increase temperature at 0 cm and 5 cm of the soil. Over film-mulched soil cultivation could increase soil temperature of 5 cm below in the morning and reduce the temperature change of 5 cm below of the soil. Yield of over film-mulched soil cultivation increased by 10.9% and 15.31% compared with the other two cultivation modes.
