Abstract: The study aims to fully understand the status and change of soil nutrient in Xi’an in order to offer data support for crop fertilizer recommendations in the future. The paper analyzed nutrient data of more than 30000 soil samples collected since 2006 in Xi’an, and evaluated the soil nutrient under different counties, soil types and soil utilization ways, analyzed the dynamic changes of soil nutrient in Xi’an since 1980’s. The results showed that, the major nutrients content in soil was at or above the middle level, only the organic content in soil was at a moderate to inferior level. There was a certain difference in major nutrient contents of different soil types, but the difference was not obvious. In different counties and under different soil utilization ways, there was difference of the major nutrients content, particularly obvious of microelement contents. Although the content of organic matters and microelements in soil appeared to be on the rise year by year, organic content in soil was at a moderate to inferior level, requiring measures such as increasing the organic fertilizer application to improve organic matter content in soil.
