Abstract: In order to reasonably put forward basis for optimal adjustment scheme of crop farming, structure of grain crops planted in China during 2003 and 2013 were reviewed. It could be found that methods had made a breakthrough in spatial scope and time span in relevant researches. The major concern of the researches changed from emphasizing the influence of natural factors, to paying attention to the social and economic factors, then to focusing on the coordination of the two kinds of factors above. However, most of the researches paid close attention to local area but not regional integrity; concerned more about the status quo, despised the trend prediction. With the global warming and development transformation in China, the influence factors of planting structure have become more integrated and complicated. To understand the evolution of the driving factors of regional planting structure, integrity and relationship among various influence factors should be summarized.
