Abstract: In order to reduce the influence of pond sediment on aquaculture water, the author studied the effects of adding Ca(NO3)2 on the physical and chemical factors of sediment by the method of simulate experiment. The results showed that NH4 -N concentration in interstitial water of surface sediment reduced after adding Ca(NO3)2, eventually reduced to 14.78%. At the same time, the PO43--P concentration in interstitial water of surface and deep sediment reduced significantly. And the reduction was bigger in surface sediment, the PO43--P concentration reduced by 85% from the 7th to the 28th day. The results showed that the NH4 -N and PO43--P in pond sediment could be reduced after adding Ca(NO3)2, and it had ecological significance for the repair of sediment in pond.
