Studies on Fertilization Effect and Suitable Amounts of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium on Hsian-tsao

Abstract: In order to study the effect of different fertilizing amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on the yield of Hsian-tsao, we made field fertilization experiment of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium by the “3414” design. The results showed that the effect of fertilizer types on the yield of Hsian-tsao was in an order as: potassium>nitrogen>phosphorus. According to the established function of fertilizer efficiency and the local production practice of Hsian-tsao, the highest fertilizing amount of Hsian-tsao was N 200.7 kg/hm2, P2O5 94.7 kg/hm2 and K2O 262.5 kg/hm2. The highest yield was 11089 kg/hm2, and the best rate of fertilization, N:P2O5:K2O was 1:0.47:1.3. The optimum economic fertilizing amount was N 193.7 kg/hm2, P2O5 88.4 kg/hm2 and K2O 241.4 kg/hm2, and the optimum economic yield was 11072.4 kg/hm2, and the best rate of fertilization, N:P2O5:K2O was 1:0.46:1.25. In the Hsian-tsa production, attention should be paid to the combined application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The compound fertilizer of low-content phosphorus, high-content nitrogen and potassium should be recommended.
