Abstract: With the development of urbanization and industrialization, construction land expanded rapidly. The aims of the study were to strengthen the intensive degree and economical utilization of the construction land in Aksu area, and reasonably allocate land resources. According to the characteristics of land use in Aksu area, based on the data of land use status quo and changes and social economic development in Aksu area from 2004 to 2013, the balance and order of the construction land structure were judged using the information entropy of land use structure. Principal component analysis was used to extract external factors leading to the changes of the construction land. Then grey correlation analysis was conducted to analyze the correlation of area proportion of different construction land types with all the external factors and information entropy, respectively. The results showed that the construction land information entropy of Aksu area showed a fluctuant increase trend and the structure of the construction land developed in a disordered direction. Economic development and cultivated land factors had moderate correlation with the information entropy of construction land, and were the main driving forces of construction land.
