Abstract: In the study, four wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars Chuan nong19, Chuan nong 17,Mian yang 11and Chuan mai 107, were employed to determinate the relation between growth and development of tillers and fertile tillers on different developed phases, with morphological and anatomical method. The results showed that the longer duration at single ridge stages contributed to the increase the spikelets. At stem elongation, longer duration for reproductive stages enhanced the number of grain. In all the tillered cultivars, such as Chuan nong17, a shorter vegetative duration and a well-ordered ranging between primary tillers of apical and secondary tillers of apical was the major factor that led more fertile tillers.
