Abstract: With the simplification of rice cultivation, weeds have become an important factor which could cause yield loss. In this paper, the application effects of non-selective herbicide glufosinate on early season rice hybrid Xiang125S/Bar68-1 under three cultivation patterns (direct seeding, throwing seedling and mechanical transplanting) were studied, and convention herbicide was used as control. The results showed that the weeding effect of glufosinate treatment was superior to that of convention herbicide treatment among the three kinds of cultivation patterns, and the superiority was more apparent, especially in direct seeding field with more weeds; although a few yield-related traits were significantly different among different years, the yield of transgenic early season rice under glufosinate herbicide treatment had no significant difference to that under convention herbicide treatment.
