Application of Biotechnology in Fiber Flax Breeding

Abstract: Flax fiber is widely used in agriculture, medical treatment, industry and aerospace industry. With the rapid development of molecular biology technology and genetic engineering technology, the research of breeding method has become the key to culture new flax plant. In order to accelerate the breeding efficiency and improve the quality and yield of flax fiber, this article summarized the application of genetic engineering technology, tissue culture technique and molecular marker technology in fiber flax breeding, and elaborated the latest research progress of genetic engineering application in flax quality and character, protoplast fusion and culture technique in flax breeding. The study could provide certain references for the research and development of flax resource.
