Application of HaiSOTER Database of 1:200000 in Hainan Island

Abstract

Abstract: HaiSOTER is the first integrated region SOTER database of 1:200000 scale in the global range, and it is the first database with normative method and many applied model, which found by China with International Soil Reference and Information Centre (ISRIC) in directly. The course of design and realization of HaiSOTER database and its successful application in the systematic evaluating of soil quality of Hainan Island、the suitability evaluating of tropical crops、the risk evaluating of soil erosion and the research of theory of pedodiversity of whole island were introduced in this paper. Furthermore, it is very wide prospect and strong vitality to found the large and medium scale SOTER database systems in China.
