Abstract: Cadmium and lead in loess were measured by ICP-MS using different microwave digestion methods, and an orthogonal experiment was designed to analyze the data to determine the best microwave digestion test method for cadmium and lead. The results showed that the importance order of cadmium and lead content in loess by microwave digestion-ICP-MS was the condition of microwave digestion> soil mass> acid ratio. And the optimal test condition of Cd was A2B3C1 (0.15 g soil samples, nitric acid: hydrogen peroxide: hydrofluoric acid=6:2:2, the first microwave digestion condition) and the optimal test condition of Pb was A2B1C1 (0.15 g soil samples, nitric acid: hydrochloric acid: hydrofluoric acid=6:2:2, the first microwave digestion condition). The recovery rate of Cd and Pb was 103% and 97% respectively under the optimal test condition, and the accuracy was relatively high.
