Abstract: For the problem of soil heavy metal contamination in Shanxi, we screened lead resistant strains to provide the ideal one for microbial remediation. We isolated the lead resistant strains from heavy metal contaminated soil by using the selective medium, and identified the strains by physiological and biochemical tests and the 16S rDNA sequence analysis. At last, we screened out a lead resistant strain named GDYX03 that belonged to Enterobacter. The optimum growth condition of the strain was found as inoculation quantity of 10%, pH 6.0, 30℃ and the ventilation volume of 10 mL. Under this condition, the strain GDYX03 possessed the capability of Pb2+ resistance up to 2000 mg/L, and its adsorption rate and quantity of Pb2+ reached 98.88% and 19.78 mg/g in aqueous solution, respectively. The adsorption effect of this strain on lead is significant, and it could be used for microbial remediation of soil heavy metal contamination.
