Abstract: Fisheries statistics provide information to fishermen production, producers and the public, which help government make strategies of economic and social development. This paper discusses the content, classification, characteristics and future service design of fishery statistics. Fisheries statistics cover the fishery industry production, processing, circulation, market and so on. Fisheries statistics reflect the economic situation of fisheries and fishermen living conditions comprehensively. At the same time, the importance of Fisheries statistics needs to rely on the development and utilization of statistical data. The future direction of analytical services includes both academic research and government decision-making.
