Abstract: Experiment was conducted to study the turf character of some grasses through turf establishing in autumn. The results showed that Agrsostis stolonifera(new strain Yuexuan No.2, Yuexuan No.3, Yuexuan No.4), Cynodon dactylon, Pseudoraphis spinescens, Digitaria longiflora had rapid vegetative turf establishment for dense turf. Eremochloa ophiuroides, Zoysia matrella, Axonopus compressus had slow vegetative turf establishment for thin turf. Digitaria longiflora and new strain Agrsostis stolonifera had dark green color and high root vigor. The relative membrane permeability in winter was root>creeping stolon>sheath>leaf blade. Zoysia matrella, Pseudoraphis spinescens, Eremochloa ophiuroides had high relative membrane permeability overall.
