Studies on differences in rice qualities from different producing areas in Liaohe plain region of Liaoning province

Abstract: 23 rice samples from 7 test points were analyzed on rice qualities and the difference of the qualities of the same variety from different rice –producing area in Liaohe plain region were compared. The results showed that there were differences in rice qualities between rice-producing areas. The extent of the difference depended on the years and varieties. The traits easily affected by producing area were head rice, chalkiness and size of chalkiness.
