Abstract: Due to rich light energy and radiation and large temperature gap between day and night in high altitude areas of guizhou province, there is a higher potential for increasing crop yield. This experiment was conducted in the areas about 1350 m above sea level with technologies of high yield practices and balanced fertilization. The potato yield obtained was 1.5 times of the local production level. Potash application has positive effect for increasing of potato yield from 1.0 t/hm2 (8.06%) to 2.5t/hm2 (20.63%). Return is 2.0~3.5 times. The weight of potato tuber increased 19.2%. The increase production lied on improved weight of potato tuber. Corn quality was also improved. The best ratio of N to K2O was 100：95~140.
