Abstract: Wanmai 31 was breeded by wide crosses , multiple hybridization , mutation breeding and other breeding methodologies with T.monococcum L. and seven common wheat varieties by Crops Research Institute of Anhui Academy of Agricultral Sciences. It is the frist wheat for noodle purpose with high yield potential , disease resistance and high protein content , approved by Anhui committee of crop variety examination and approval in August 1997. It is useful to adjust the planting constricture in Jianghuai wheat area .
