The stem sections and the leaves from the plants were used as explants and the callus induction and plant regeneration were conducted on the media supplemented with different plant hormone combinations in Kalanchoe blossfeldiana with red flowers in this experiment. The obtained results showed that the MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg/L 2,4- D and 0.5 mg/L BA was optimal for the callus induction and propagation from leaves without leafstalks; the MS medium supplemented with 0.25 mg/L BA and 1.5 mg/L 2,4- D and 0.6 mg/L GA was beneficial to the differentiation of green callus; and the MS medium supplemented with 1.5 mg/L BA and 0.25 mg/L NAA and mg/L GA was propitious to the induction and the propagation of bud clusters; and the highest percentage of rooting was obtained on the 1/2 MS medium adding 0.3 mg/L NAA and 0.7 mg/L IBA.
