Review on Conservation Tillage of Double Cropping System in North China Plain

Abstract

Abstract: Wheat-Maize double cropping system played a very important role in agriculture production in North China Plain, but the traditional tillage method has hindered sustainable agricultural development. Conservation tillage technology is an advanced technology which can protect soil from erosion and can keep soil moist, and is a key technology for keeping the development of sustainable agricultural in this area. In order to offer reference for extension of conservation tillage of two crops a year in North China Plain, this article introduced the definition，principle, history and development of conservation tillage and concluded the influence of conservation tillage system on insemination，emergence，farmland weed，crops growth development and crops yield.
