Abstract: We have drawn some conclusions about improving life yield and harvest index for short-life-period hybrid rice through several years’ cultivation research. The following are the main techniques, moderately late seed drop, moderately early transplant, early apply fertilizer after transplant, keep the field dry while the number of the seedling is sufficient. At the same time we can improve seed set and 1000-grain weight by utilization of panicle fertilizer and “920”, which also can prevent the hybrid rice from getting old.
