Abstract: The city waterfront is an important constituent of the green ecology of many cities. It not only provides the water source, the green space, improving environment, but also has multitudinous ecological function, such as opening traveling entertainment, the transportation, the cultural education and so on .So it has the important ecological, economical and social value to the development of the city. But with the rapid development of the society and urbanized advancement，the eyeless and unscientific constructs to the city waterfront made by human has initiated a series of serious problems relating to the ecological destruction of the waterfront. With more and more attention paid to the environment nowadays, people attach importance to the problems gradually. This article analyzes the present ecological condition of the waterfront on the unreasonable landscape plan, more pollution making and biodiversity reduction. Proposed in this foundation, some approaches to restore the zoology was given out according to the ecological. principles Such as repairing by plants, reconstructing food chain of the system, reconstructing cushion belt, implementing ecological shore protection.and so on.
