Abstract:

Honghu lotus root (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) is rich in nutrients, has health care and medicinal functions, and is popular with the public. With the continuous development of the lotus root industry, the frequency of lotus root diseases, insect pests and weeds has been gradually increasing. Extensive application of pesticides is neither scientific nor effective in preventing and controlling diseases, insect pests and weeds, and affects the quality of lotus root, posing a serious threat to the sustainable development of Honghu lotus root industry. Through field investigation, questionnaire survey, statistical analysis, etc., we investigated the occurrence of lotus root diseases, insect pests and weeds, the use of pesticide and the application of drone among 103 growers in 6 townships in Honghu City, Hubei Province. The problems existing in the use of pesticide and drone application in Honghu area were analyzed, and the prospect was put forward to provide some new ideas for the green and modern planting of the lotus root industry.
