Abstract: With the development of the economy, the water resource is gradually becoming a scarce resource, the traditional method of wastewater purification (active sludge method) has embodied many disadvantages during the purification process, such as high investment, high energy-consumed, high requirement of operation and profoundly influenced by influent quality and the fluctuation of wastewater flow. As the advanced wastewater purification system, infiltration has gradually showed widely used foreground in the field of wastewater purification in terms of convenient process equipment, low investment, convenient operation and management, low energy-consumed and high process effect. This paper mainly introduces the purification mechanism and purification effect of contaminant by soil infiltration and constructed rapid infiltration system. The present problems and the measures of these systems are also discussed.
