ffects of Different Additives on Fermentation Quality of Napier Grass Silage

Abstract

Abstract: Napier grass with 68.3% moisture content was silaged. Napier grass silage was divided into control group, trial 1, trial 2 and trial 3. Trial 1 was added 0.2% fermented green juice, trial 2 was added 0.0001% cellulase,trial 3 was added 0.2% fermented green juice + 0.0001% cellulose. Ensilaged for 50 days at normal temperature, the fermentation quality of silages were measured. The results showed that the addition of fermented green juice and fermented green juice + cellulose could decrease the pH and the content of volatile base nitrogen, and could increase the dry matter recovery rate and the content of crude protein(P<0.01，P<0.05).
