Abstract: The experiment was conducted with the method of random block layout in order to discuss the relationship between growth characteristics and sprout yield of Toona sinensis Roem in greenhouses under high density and low plant height cultivated condition. The stems of one year seeding were cut with different height at different stage. The results revealed that the yield of Toona sinensis Roem sprout increased 17.64% and 28.20% when the stems were cut at the middle of July than they were cut at the middle of August and September respectively. The yield of Toona sinensis Roem sprout increased 11.24% and 17.78% when the stems were cut with the height of 40cm than that they were cut with the height of 20cm and 60cm respectively. The highest yield of the treatment was the stems were cut with the height of 40cm in the middle of July, which came to 1.50kg/m2.
