Abstract: There are 259 species wetland wascular plants, belonging to 68 families and 165 genera in Huaihe drainage area (Anhui section). As to the flora component, the major parts in the wetland consists of 11 great families (species≥5), Gramineae and Cyperzceae of which are the greatest.Aquatic of fern plants species are 4 area-types, cosmopolitan is the main tape,and that of seed plants genera are 14 area-types. The genera of temperate-area-types occupied 38.4% of total genera. The resource of the wetland plants is very abundant in the food category, the raw material for industry, the kind of green manure, the kind of view and admire, the environmental protection class, and the idioplasm resources
