Abstract: The effects of land use changed from natural secondary forests to rubber forests and rubber planted history on soil organic C were studied by analyzing the content of natural secondary forests and rubber forests soil organic C in Tunchang county, Hainan province. The results showed that soil organic C content decreased significantly within soil depth of the 10~20 cm after natural secondary forests were destroyed and rubber forests were planted , soil organic C content decreased within soil depth of the 0~10 cm,20~50 cm and 50~100 cm ,but not significant; the mainly factors that cause soil organic C changed remarkably were land use changed from natural secondary forests to rubber forests, not rubber forests history.
