Abstract: The differential expression proteins of leaves in the late developmental stage of rice were studied from the proteomics point of view, and those proteins were separated with 2-DE and then analyzed with Imagemaster 2D Elite 5.0 in order to search for their differential expression in leaves, The study showed that the number of detected differential expression protein spots was 47, among which there were 6 new protein spots that just appeared at booting and heading stages, 21 protein spots increased and 6 protein spots decreased with the rice development, and the other 14 proteins changed irregularly in expression abundance but most of them had their peaks in expression abundance at a certain developmental stage. The protein is the performer of cell’s function and influenced by the variation of cell’s function or cell environment, therefore, the reason that caused the above proteins change should be related with the rice development transforms at late stage.
