Abstract: The determination of exempted substances has important meaning to consumers interest protecting, food safety product guiding and fair food trade application. The article has studied the exempted substances listed in Japanese Positive List System, US Code of Federal Regulations, and EU Regulation 149/2008. And compared their types, application scope. It is a good reference to food and agricultural primary product trade.
