Abstract: The aim of this paper was to compare the effect of different pesticides and plant amendments treated replant soil on the growth and root rot of Panax quinquefolium L. Field plot trail of continuous cultivated P. quinquefolium L was conducted by using Dazomet, CS2 and Perilla frutescens root meal treated soil. The rate of seedling emergence and survival ,incidence of rot root and root weight of Panax quinquefolium were investigated in first and second year. The results showed Fumigating soil with 5~15g/m2 Dazomet, 20mL/m2 CS2 improved the percentageof establishment and survival of seedling, increased weight of root and reduced root disease of continuous cropping Panax quinquefolium L. Adding 50g/m2~100g/m2 Perilla frutescens root meal in soil could increase weight of root. But the carbendazim had no effect in compare with control. So fumigating soil or adding suitable botanical amendments in soil are beneficial to solving the replant problem of Panax quinquefolium L.
