Abstract: Effects of different application methods of multi-function water-holding agent on growth and yield of cotton were studied. The results showed that cotton yield increased through different application methods of water-holding agent, and the best method is row application, the better method is seed dressing, the last one is broadcast application. The best quantity of row application was 75.0 kg/hm2, seed dressing was 1:1 of water-holding agent and seed weight, and broadcast application was 500kg/hm2. The main reason for increasing cotton production were to increase the number of bells per plant and the average boll weight.
