Research on the blossom-bud differentiation starting times of Salix babylonica L.

Abstract: The blossom-bud differentiation starting times of S. babylonica have been researched using BBRⅠ. Salix babylonica L. been injected the “No. 1 of blossom bud restrainer” (BBRⅠ) before, in period of and after its blossom-bud differentiation starting times, its bud differentiated to leaf bud, leaf bud & blossom bud, and blossom bud. The results are that the blossom-bud differentiation starting times of S. babylonica male plant are form 24th June to 9th July in Beijing, and the times of S. babylonica female plant are form 29th June to 14th July in Beijing.
