Field Experiments of 13 Pesticides for Control Asian Citrus Psylla
(Diaphorina citri Kuwayama)

Abstract: Abstract: Huanglongbing (HLB) is a destructive disease. It has spread to Brazil and America .In the orchard, its only vector is citrus psylla.Control of citrus psylla is the most important technical component of an integrated control program for huanglongbing. Adult psyllid control provided by pesticides must be >95% after 24h sprayed.13 pesticides was tested in field experiments. The results show that adult psyllid control provided by imidacloprid plus methomyl plus beta-cypermethrin 83 mg(a.i)/L and fenpropathrin plus triazophos plus quinalphos 110mg(a.i)/L and bifenthrin plus azone 25mg(a.i)/L was 100%, the control of quinalphos 250mg(a.i)/L and methidathion 200mg(a.i)/L was 99.0% to 96.8%, the control of phenthoate 500mg(a.i)/L was 100% to 91.4% ,while pirimiphos-methyl 500 mg(a.i)/L only gave 73.1%, toosedarin 6 mg(a.i)/L,pymetrozine 250 mg(a.i)/L each provided <40% control.
