Abstract: Zhengnong 16 with high quality ,high yield ,disease resistance and extensive adaptability was selected by Zhengzhou Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences by making cross with female parent Zhengnong 7 and male parent Xiaoyan 6 in 1992. Its 3-yield-factors is in harmony and its quality reaches the national level of strong gluten wheat .The variety is disease resistance and was cultivated in southern area of Huanghuai. The Crops Examination and Approval Committee of Henan province has approved it in 2003.
