Selection of Pollen Viability Test Way of Hibiscus syriacus

Abstract: Abstract: The pollens of 2 cultivators from Hibiscus syriacus were studied. The pollen viability were tested by means of TTC and germination in vitro．The results showed that only when in vitro medium，the pollen germination rate could be improved and represent the pollen viability. The pollen was used as explant and the sucrose solution as medium. The germination of the pollen medium of Hibiscus syriacus was observed, The pollen began germinating with 15% sucrose concentration and 15mg/L boric acid under 30℃ after 30 minetes.
