Abstract:

The effect of water deficit on leaf protective enzymes and permeability of plasma membrane of ten triticale cultivars with different drought resistance was studied.Under 20 % PEG 6000 simulated drought stress , superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, peroxidase(POD) activity and Malonaldehyde (MDA) content of triticale with different drought resistance were measured .The results showed that the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD),peroxidase(POD) and Malonaldehyde (MDA) content are higher than that of control. While they changed apparently between different cultivars. The stress coefficient of SOD activity are as follows: S4>S2>S7>S8>S6>S9>S10>S1>S5>S3, the biggest of which is S4(Prego) that is 7.48, the stress coefficient of POD activity are as follows: S2>S9>S6>S4>S8>S7>S5>S10>S1>S3,the biggest of which is S2(Fidelio) that is 3.19 , and the stress coefficient of MDA content are as follows: S3>S10>S1>S5>S8>S2>S7>S6>S9>S4, the biggest of which is S3(Tewo) that is 4.71 ,This indicted that Prego might was a cultivar with the strongest drought resistance and Tewo might was drought-sensitive cultivar in all cultivars.
