Abstract: This paper review of study about major research areas and research directions on forest certification and the development of forest products trade in both at home and abroad. Meanwhile, it sums up the main methods and basic conclusions of related research. Review around the following issues: different countries’ and regions’ forest certification; the construction of forest certification system and its development trends; China’s forest certification standards’ construction ; the connection between forest certification and the development of trade in forest products. The study suggest that developed countries’ practical experience on forest certification on the sustainable development of trade in forest products has significant reference value in promoting China’s trade in forest products .That is , it is important to study the power mechanism of forestry enterprises’ implementation of forest certification from China’s forestry reality.
