Abstract:

This paper expatiated the structure and function of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus(FMDV) 5’Untranslated Region and summarized the recent advances in study of the pathogenesis and effects of the FMDV 5’Untranslated Region on its host cells．The molecular basis of pathogenesis of FMDV 5’Untranslated Region have been analyzed in this paper and considered that the genome structure of the FMDV 5’Untranslated Region are essential for replication and production of disease,which would provide a valuable theoretical reference for further studying on replication,virulence and its determinants,cell and host tropism and pathogenesis of FMDV.
