Abstract:

According to study the effect of EDTA, tartaric acid and the associative action of EDTA and tartaric acid on Cu and Pb releasing from soil through batch experiments. The results showed that the releasing amount of Cu and Pb increased with the increase of EDTA or tartaric acid concentration. EDTA promoted more Pb than Cu releasing from soil, while tartaric acid did the reverse. The associative action of EDTA and tartaric acid can notably increase the releasing amount of Cu from soil, the biggest releasing rate was 48%, and it almost released the same amount of Pb with EDTA in soil alone.
