Abstract:

The content of some coumarins in roots of Glehnia littoralis were determined and compared with HPLC. The study shows that the larger the number of grown years, the more the content of psoralen, imperatorin, isoimperatorin and the gross amount of the three. The coumarin content in the roots of Glehnia littoralis of four grown years is extremely significantly more than the other ones. Therefore, roots of Glehnia littoralis of two or more grown years should not be kept only for seeds in production, and also, they should be used as medicinal material.
