Abstract:

HT(Horticultural therapy), which had originated in the end of 17th century, is an intercross subject that comprises horticulture, medicine and psychology. It was proved to have different effects on patients, such as the disabled, mental disease, low IQ and the aged. It is a supplement and improvement to the modern medicine. The related studies of horticulture therapy in China have just began in recent years. In the paper, author gave out some suggestions to well promote researching on HT in China. That was:1) to offer the HT course, 2) to establish occupation of HT and to found the Horticultural therapy association, 3) to support active curative effect by landscape elements, 4) to build up the Horticultural therapy garden.
