Abstract:

Two-factor split-plot design was used in this paper to study the effect of nitrogen application rate and plant density on the yield of the two-line hybrid wheat variety-Mian Za Mai 168.The results showed that, nitrogen application rate, plant density and their interaction influence the yield significantly. The yield increased both with the increase of nitrogen application rate and plant density, but declined in very high plant density. The results also showed that, in the low plant density ,that is, basic seedlings lower than 165×104／hm2, planting Mian Za Mai 168 could obtain yield above 6750kg/hm2 and economic benefits higher than 8,000yuan／hm2 in the condition that the soil fertility were in the middle level and the nitrogen application rate were 150～300kg／hm2.
