Abstract:

Correlation coefficients between rice resistance to blast and yield traits of 316 varieties which were tested in the region trial in the cold regions in recent 5 years. The result showed: A significant negative correlation effect between resistance to leaf and neck blast and growth days, active accumulated temperature in cold region early japonica rice varieties. A significant negative correlation effect between resistance to leaf and neck blast and panicle length, the numbers of panicle per m2 was just the opposite; a significant negative correlation effect between resistance to blast and yield. Show that the rice of growth days longer and active accumulated temperature higher leaf blast and panicle blast incidence of the fewer, more panicle per m2 blast heavier, the stronger the resistance of varieties yield higher in cold areas. So the appropriate choice of reproductive traits of rice varieties, can be selected not only high-yield and disease resistance of new varieties of rice in the cold regions.
